The server is responsible to provide each guest an enjoyable experience in our restaurant and/or lounge by offering the best possible service. The individual must confirm all orders are accurate, as per hotel & brand standards, and served promptly and efficiently. This position requires good customer service skills, the ability to multi-task, and effectively communicate with guests regarding breakfast and knowledge of basic hotel information.
Responsibilities
- Maintain good personal appearance at all times; wear proper uniform and name tag as prescribed by hotel.
- Verify the accuracy on all checks for prices, taxes, and tips.
- Greet all arriving guest in a pleasant manner, making them feel welcome.
- Ensure that all newly seated guests receive immediate attention and that their orders are taken promptly and courteously. Be sure that your guests are not being neglected at any time.
- Ensure the quality and appearance of the food and beverages you serve meets hotel & brand standards.
- Ensure the tables are cleaned properly and set up according to hotel standards.
- Maintain a clean dining area with the required supplies at all times during the hotel's dining hours.
- Keep your station clean and set up with the required supplied at all times.
- Assist to stock items as deliveries arrive. Ensure all food items are rotated with oldest in front, newest in back.
- Help to minimize waste and inform management of items to be ordered or items which are overstocked.
- Advise management of any unsatisfactory food or beverage items so it can be replaced. Advise to Front Desk when applicable.
- Work with the other F&B personnel to ensure that the necessary work and other job related duties are completed.
- Check the cleaning frequency chart and do the required cleaning each day.
- Communicate with management, front desk for service related matters, and maintenance for equipment related matters.
- Be sure that established service procedures are followed at all times.
- Assist other hotel personnel as necessary.
- Additional duties from hotel manager will be assigned as necessary
